@beezy-That might be the worst argument I have ever heard in the history of EVER. Lets just break down this epic statement you decided to share with the world, shall we? "It is not a popularity contest"....hmm well then why the shart are you buying an areospoke? Are you on the track? THEY BREAK! People only buy them for show and are by far the most impractical things on the road. Second, "Maybe people cant afford the extra 100 for a machined wheel"...this actually made me laugh out loud. I don't know if you have checked out the price on these beauties but the run in the 300-400 range, which could buy you a decent SET of wheels. But yeah...we can't afford to be safe around here when the new 2010 areo colors come out now can we?

Yeah, they're quiet. I have a Stealth from f8cycles that I call the Pigeon Killer. They don't hear me coming on that thing. Fixie Inc has had that video up for a while, but f8 is the only company I know of that will actually build you a belt drive fixed gear.

Any fixie is reliable really. Because of a fixed geared bikes simplicity in it's funtioning it is normally reliable. If you are looking to buy new a few that I can suggest that will run you under a grand are the Bianchi Pista, the Surly Steamroller, and the Specilized Langster if they still make it. Otherwise find a frame that fits, even if it's in a dumpster. Make sure it doesnt have any structural damage, and fix it up with all the other bike fixings that it still needs(used or new). As long as you avoid rust and structural damage youre fixie should run forever.

my closest friend was hit by a car about a month ago and was nearly killed it was probably the most scariest moment of my life almost losing a friend. It really made me realize how fast and easy it is to get into an accident, when you are least expecting it.

The company needs to make inroads with today's twentysomething bikers because of the dearth of thirtysomething ones. The prime age for motorcycle customers is 35 to 44, according to Donald Brown, a consultant to the industry. Brown says this age group's numbers began to decline in 1999 and will continue to do so through 2016. Since Harley can't replace all its boomer customers from a limited pool of busters, it must reach deeper than before into the youth market. The result, says Brown: "It will have to compete more head-on with the Japanese."

My Grandfather rode his bike until he was 97 years old, he was born in 1889. It's what kept him in shape and his mind alert. Once they told him he was too old to ride it, it was all down hill from there. So keep on keeping on, if they tell you to stop, keep on riding on... lol
